Ladies and Gentlemen!
Imagine English School Tea party will be held again this year (after a few years break).
Sunday, June 26th from 3 to 5 pm - in my garden.
I have invitations and maps at Imagine now, so make sure to take one and I hope you can come this year.
What will I cook? Scones or cake? I think this year the roses will be early, I can already see buds on them - so I think June 26th is a good date.
I look forward to welcoming you. Last time about 12 people came and we had a relaxing time - if you would like to bring a friend it's ok too.
CHANCE to use your English right here in Sapporo!
Next year the Asian Winter Games will be held in Sapporo and Obihiro. It's like the Winter Olympics - but only for Asian athletes. Thousands of foreigners will be Hokkaido and volunteers are needed.
Really. YOU. Yes, your English is good enough. I am sure.
All levels of English are needed - people for subway stations, information counters, shuttle buses, hotel support - right up to interpreter level for athletes and media.
1,800 foreign language volunteers are needed - English, Chinese, Korean etc and a further 3,000 Japanese Only volunteers too.
I am thinking about it. I would like to volunteer. But, February is a busy time for my family. My partner is a ski instructor and he is always busy away working at ski resorts. I have to look after his mother and our two cats alone. It is hard to be away from home. But I will check the details of volunteers and maybe apply.
Meanwhile - listen very carefully to this promotion video...who is it? A familiar British voice?
YOU TOO! Yes!!! YOU!
If you come to Imagine in the late afternoon at this time of year you'll catch our beautiful "English" reflection show.
For about 25 mins the words "English" are reflected from the window stickers onto the table, and this week the tulip from my garden was also in the show.
Let the light shine on your English studies :-)

Did you know - you can have a lesson with me and stay home?!!
Sometimes I do Skype Lessons with students, using the popular computer/telephone system. I sit in Imagine with the computer and the whiteboard, and the student is in their home or office. And we talk, I write new vocabulary on the whiteboard or on a Chat Space on the computer - and we enjoy a lesson.
It IS different from face to face; making eye contact is a little strange, and sometimes the computer connection is not good. But we enjoy the problems together. Also - students can show me things in their homes!
Today's student lives the other side of Sapporo, and she showed me the beautiful cherry tree outside her living room window! Look at these pictures!
** If you are interested in having a Skype Lesson, contact me. The lesson fee is also a little cheaper :-)
