Come dog sledding!
I am planning a day out in January or February to go to Takasu, near Asahikawa and try dog sledding.
The sledding center is run by Kyoko and Dan, friends-of-a-friend, who I met in the summer. They have many cute, noisy dogs and it is a great location to try sledding - Dan has made sleds that can be driven by beginners so you can get the REAL sledding experience. Most places in Hokkaido just allow the customers to sit or stand as passengers. This is different.
Here is the information about the trip. It IS a little expensive. About Y8,000 for the sledding, plus getting to Asahikawa (train? bus? car?). I am asking my friends too and hope a small group of us can go.
Tell me in January lessons if you are interested and we will decide a date and make a reservation.
