
About 40 people attended - people from the Akan, Kushiro, Akan and surrounding area tourist business and local government.
VERY scary. My Japanese really isn't good enough to be used in this kind of formal setting, but an interpreter helped me and everyone was kind.
We talked about the future needs of tourism in this area, what kind of customers are coming and how to improve services and information.
And then?
They took me out and showed me their beautiful part of Hokkaido - all the winter wonderland of the region.
I really enjoyed the trip and can highly recommend it in this season. It was my first time here in winter - so beautiful!
