England going home. Japan going home.
That part of the World Cup is over - now for the next stage!
It's been a busy and exhausting 2 weeks. Every morning getting up early and watching one or two football games before work.
We record all the games and then watch them. This means we can watch them at normal speed, or play the recording on Fast Forward and watch a 90 minute game in about 1 hour - changing the recording to normal speed to see goals and other important play.
I've really enjoyed some good play: Iran, the US, Holland, Cameroon - great games. Sometimes it isn't the final score which is important, it is the play.
I'm not so disappointed in England, really. I didn't think they would go far - maybe out of the Group stage and into the next match. Then home. Same for Japan - if lucky.
So going home after 3 games isn't so different. World Cup is the BEST in the world and the level is high.
Japan played well this year. England were pretty good, but I think relied too much on the old stars. Power and youth are important.
Only 2 weeks to go until I am on a plane and going to Brazil to enjoy the end of tournament atmosphere and hopefully watch Brazil in the final with thousands of other people on the public viewing on the Copacabana Beach.
