Feeling a little nervous - because I can't read Japanese very well and I worry that someone will ask me a question I can't answer. But there are other volunteers too and at least I know I can speak and understand English!!
Several of Imagine and NHK Culture Center students are also volunteering, and I have several friends who are either working of volunteering too.
Good luck everyone!
Matsuyama-san at the Curling Hall! Hara-san at Sapporo Station! Takahashi-san at the ski jump! Yagi-san at Keio Plaza Hotel! Yoko-san at Grand Hotel......and others. One of my Australian friends is helping to interpret for the medical team which will help athletes, another friend is on the telephone helpline.
And my American friend Delaina is the MC at the Opening Ceremony in Sapporo Dome tomorrow. She will introduce the Japanese Crown Prince and Dreams Come True. A BIG job!
Good luck everyone. Let's help Sapporo give a big welcome to athletes, officials and visitors.
