Yesterday I was checking the news on the Internet between lessons (and doing my Japanese study!), and I was a little disappointed to see the No vote.
I think "Yes" would have given many young Scottish people a real sense of pride in their heritage and country.
But everyone says this vote will mean big changes - in the powers that Scotland will have to decide public life. Already Scotland has a lot of control over what happens IN Scotland, and this will lead to more.
The British Prime Minister said this issue is settled now for "a generation" - but I think Scottish people will want another referendum...maybe in another 40 or 50 years....I think independence will come.
