I haven't blogged for a while.
Life - both working and private - has been busy, AND of course it was so hot, I didn't want to sit near the computer...
This week I will be making time to go to the Sapporo Short Fest 2012. I go every year, and I really recommend this festival.
It's held at theaters in Tanukikoji - at the Sapporo Plaza on 5-chome and at Kino on 6-chome , with programs from today until next Monday.
Each program is about 1 hour, 20 mins. and usually consists of more than 5 short films.
I love it because there are films from all over the world, and they show different perspectives - some are funny animations, some are strange dramas, some are like pop videos with a story line. Of course, all are subtitled in Japanese.
If you don't like one film...you just sit there and wait for about 10-15 mins...and then it will finish and another will start. Audiences are asked to vote for the film they most enjoyed at the end of each program.
I'm hoping to go and see the Hokkaido Selection this time, and maybe films by directors from Iran, Germany and Croatia.
Here is the website for the festival - why don't you come?
