So. Now I am a student.
I have a Japanese lesson once a week, I have books, I have homework, - and all of this means I have to find/make study time.
As a teacher I know that this is important. Study time should be calm and quiet. You should have all the things you need (dictionary, pencil, eraser etc) and you should give your focus to the study. Set yourself tasks to do and review the past lessons.
Soooo much easier said than done!
I am easily distracted. If I am at home I can play with the cats, or play word games on the computer. Or take in the dry laundry from the garden...or check the news on TV! Easily distracted.
If I study at Imagine I suddenly remember things I must do and jump up from the table to "just check...".
I am a bad student!
One Australian friend recommended studying early in the morning, before the busy day and many distractions begin. An Imagine study tells me she always leaves her home and goes to Tully's or Starbuck's coffee shops to study.
I have to find my time and place. I'm not in a study routine yet.
Tokyo Olympics....7 years to go.
