This week I escaped work and went to Tokyo to a concert by Adam Lambert, an American pop singer. He was the runner-up in the popular TV singing audition show "American Idol" a few years ago. I'm a big fan.
It was a great concert in Shibuya, and I enjoyed a dinner of spare ribs, and then the next day we looked around Asakusa - where the plastic cherry blossom is already on show.
And at the concert...in the quiet time between songs..someone shouted out "Sapporo!!! Please come to Sapporo!!!". I don't know who it was. The accent sounded British. Must have been a noisy gaijin.
